Do you like paying for bag fees?

I highly doubt it. This post is less about how to maximize points, and more about how to save 100$ a year on bag fees and other incidentals. In an age with airlines are nickel and diming the customer its nice to have an option to find a credit card that will pay for airline incidentals. The card I am talking about is the PenFed Pathfinder Rewards American Express® Card which can be found here. Best part of this card is that it is FREE!

In order to get this card you can just click the link and after an application you can become a member of the PenFed Credit Union. In order to become a member all you have to do is be a military member, or pay a one time 17$ fee to a military veterans charity, and its all done via the application.

When I filled out my application I got accepted in minutes and was given a relatively small credit limit and set up my account with the credit union. All in all, the 10 minute process and 17$ is well worth 100$ a year in free bags, lounge access and onboard food and drinks.

This card is great for the not so frequent flyers, those who fly 2 times a year round trip with a checked bag. This card will also pay for TSA PreCheck or Global Entry every five years which helps with those long airport lines. Plus with no annual fee this card is really a top notch choice for travel year after year and for keeping in your wallet to keep your credit utilization low.
